Welcome to the Surrey Foundation

We’re a registered, non-profit society striving to make Surrey a stronger, more vibrant community. We partner with individuals in the community to help build permanent endowment funds and other funds that support community projects.

Funds donated to the Foundation are managed by our independent Board of Directors; earnings on the invested capital are used to support a wide range of local initiatives, including health and social services, education, the arts, the environment, and economic development projects. We’re non-political and non-partisan.

Our Key Roles

We are a link between donors and the broader community. Our professional volunteers and staff help donors achieve their charitable goals. All funds held with the Surrey Foundation are pooled and thoughtfully invested to provide revenue that is distributed as grants to support community projects.
We are a grant maker that supports a wide range of local initiatives from health, education and social services to arts, culture and the environment. Big or small, we look for projects with the enthusiasm required to affect change.
We pursue a commitment to diversity and inclusiveness so the broad interests of the community are represented. We promote partnerships with other charitable organizations, community agencies and businesses.
We take a leadership role in the community and pursue excellence in the quality of activities supported by the Foundation. We serve as a catalyst for positive change for the purpose of creating a better place to live, work and play!
